From the series Egos: sins and virtues

Egos is a series of fourteen images based on the seven capital sins and the seven heavenly virtues.

Although the names of capital sins and heavenly virtues are given by catholic religion, it is not my intention to deepen into the judgemental heaviness that these might carry.

We are beings wrapped in layers and shells, building them up day by day, trying to find ways of defending ourselves from pain, fear and suffering. The ego is made of these layers. It wants to appear in defferent ways and show off it’s different aspects.

Egos is born from the opposites, from the eternal human kind duality. The sins and the virtues are no more than aspects that we´ve been through at some point or the other. There are though some aspects that are more connected to the soul than to the ego.

Egos is an invitation to see ourselves through these images, through these aspects. After all, we are all mirrors from one another.
